We embrace what is called a missional mindset. To be missional is to do ministry as Jesus did – to be salt and light to the world around us (Matthew 5:13-16). In a nutshell, being missional is meeting people where they are and embarking on the journey of life with them. A missional community is about becoming an expression of God’s grace to others. It is a journey to faith that is built on relationships that accept others where they are, but also call people to the life-change that only Jesus Christ offers.
Our Mission
The mission of Edgerton Wesleyan Church is to fulfill the Great Commission in the Spirit of the Great Commandment.
The Great Commission
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
The Great Commandment
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” - Matthew 22:37-39
